We cleaned the cages and put everyone back. The difference in reaction is rather comical.
Early morning wake up - not because I have much to do but because I JUST CAN'T Sleep. Oh wait! I forgot I was bringing potatoes for the 'potluck potato bar' we arranged with the exhibitors - well good thing I woke up early to cook them!
After I do a final health check I put all the ratties into their travel cages (with a bit of apple for moisture), wake up the kids, eat breakfast, load up the final things and we are OFF! The drive takes an hour, we go to the wrong building oops! a rummage sale - no time to find rattie treasures, but I sure was tempted. Finally find location through the maze of buildings and roads on the fairgrounds. The girls were all ready to unload the car but WAIT we have to pass health check first.
Laughing so hard at this picture of our daughters holding the Castle licking Dragon and the 'But I don't wanna be a Lion'
As we get ready for our first rat show let me tell you a few things you might not have realized that needs to be done before the rats get to strut their stuff. Seriously, you saw in the last sentence, 'our first rat show', right? Though I know it will be a ton of fun, meeting people that we have only talked to on fb or through email. It is a bit of preparation. We have amazing temperaments and overall health of our ratties. Now we are excited to learn more of the standards desired for show, with this information, we will be able to focus on future lines.
Let's begin our ADVENTURE:
Well tomorrow is the big day, I am sure I will have much more to add!
Our crazy rat adventure is small glimpse into our little menagerie. We never intended to, but we ended helping others fall in love with the little vermin.
